Verizon raised prices on multiple plans and fees in 2025, including a $3 increase on its Netflix and HBO Max bundle to $13 and a $5 hike on tablet plans. The carrier also ended loyalty discounts and increased its device activation fee from $35 to $40, along with other billing fee adjustments.

The company lost over 2.25 million customers in the past three years amid intensifying wireless competition. Postpaid phone churn reached 0.97% in Q1 2026, up two basis points from the prior period, reflecting customer dissatisfaction with pricing changes.

CEO Dan Schulman previously pledged to halt price increases without added value, emphasizing a “customer-obsessed culture” during a January earnings call.
