Dow Jones, S&P 500, and Nasdaq 100 futures decline as 10-year US Treasury yields near 4.75%, fueled by debt concerns and Middle East risks.

Dow Jones futures dropped 0.25% to 53,410, while S&P 500 futures fell 0.52% to 7,730 and Nasdaq 100 futures slipped 0.92% to 29,820 in early trading. The declines follow a surge in US Treasury yields, with the 10-year yield approaching 4.75%, its highest since January 2025, and the 30-year yield exceeding 5.33%, a level not seen since 2007.

Long-term borrowing costs rose across major economies, with UK 30-year Gilt yields at 5.84%, German 30-year Bunds at 3.74%, and Japanese 30-year JGBs at 4.12%. Analysts warn the moves reflect growing concerns over high public debt levels and persistent inflation, compounded by escalating Middle East tensions and rising oil prices.

Market sentiment deteriorated as fading prospects for a US-Iran peace deal added to geopolitical uncertainty, amplifying risk aversion among investors.
