The combined entity will trade on Nasdaq as SLTE, focusing on migraine treatments with financing secured through 2029.
Fulcrum Therapeutics and Slate Medicines have agreed to merge in an all-stock transaction, supported by a $245m private placement from healthcare investors. The new company, Slate Medicines, will list on Nasdaq under the ticker SLTE.
The merger, unanimously approved by both boards, aims to advance Slate’s migraine pipeline, including lead candidate SLTE-1009. Funding is expected to cover operations until 2029, enabling Phase I and II studies for SLTE-1009 and preclinical work on SLTE-2100.
The deal is set to close in Q4 2026, pending regulatory and shareholder approvals. Post-merger, the entity will prioritize clinical development of its PACAP/VIP-targeting therapies.
