Trip.com reports RMB16.2 billion in Q1 revenue but warns of slower growth in Q2 due to macroeconomic pressures and regulatory scrutiny.
Trip.com Group (NASDAQ:TCOM) posted a 17% year-over-year increase in total net revenues to RMB16.2 billion for FQ1 2026, driven by a 65% surge in international bookings and a 90% rise in inbound travel. Net income, however, fell to RMB2.5 billion from RMB4.3 billion in the same period last year.
The company expects revenue growth to slow to 3%-8% in FQ2 2026, citing geopolitical volatility, rising energy costs, and regulatory adjustments. Trip.com is also cooperating with an anti-monopoly investigation by China’s market regulator, though the financial impact remains uncertain.
Management reaffirmed its focus on governance and expanding its global partner ecosystem amid the challenges.
