A Swiss study finds entry-level job postings fell sharply in 2025 amid AI integration, particularly in marketing, finance, and IT sectors.

Swiss job advertisements for junior roles declined 32% in 2025 compared to the 2019-2022 average, a study analyzing 7.3 million postings showed. The shift coincides with increased corporate adoption of AI, which has reduced demand for entry-level positions in marketing, administration, finance, and IT.

Senior roles in AI-exposed sectors rose 26% over the same period, while junior positions in those fields dropped 16%. Demand for junior workers outside office and research roles remained strong, particularly in healthcare, construction, and trades facing labor shortages.

Among workers under 25, 41% expressed concerns about AI reducing their workplace value, citing fears of obsolescence.
