Perrigo (PRGO) posted disappointing second-quarter 2026 results, with core earnings falling nearly 21% year over year to $0.46 per share. Organic sales declined 3.5%, while core sales dropped 3.1%, reflecting broader struggles in its over-the-counter drug business.

The company also saw margin compression, with adjusted gross margin down 2.5 percentage points and adjusted operating margin declining 1.6 percentage points. Despite the weak performance, Perrigo maintained its $0.29 per share dividend, which remains covered by core earnings.

The stock’s 8.3% yield reflects investor concerns following the abrupt departure of its CEO, leaving a temporary replacement in place as the company searches for a permanent leader.
