Stellantis and Factorial have initiated North American road testing of a Dodge Charger Daytona equipped with a solid-state battery. The battery, using Factorial’s FEST system, promises high energy density and ultra-fast charging, transitioning from lab validation to real-world application.

The test program aims to refine system performance, safety, and durability while demonstrating compatibility with existing lithium-ion manufacturing processes. This milestone advances the companies’ multi-stage development program, targeting mass-market adoption of cost-effective solid-state batteries.

The project sets a new industry benchmark by adapting vehicle control systems and pack designs to automotive standards, accelerating commercialization of solid-state technology.
