Nvidia and Micron stocks retreat from critical moving averages, signaling potential bearish momentum if support breaks.
Nvidia shares opened higher but failed to hold above the 100-day moving average at $196.36, peaking at $196.18 before sellers drove the stock toward its 200-day moving average at $190.72. The stock briefly dipped to $189.80 before rebounding to $191.90, remaining trapped between the two key levels. A sustained break below the 200-day average could intensify downside pressure.
Micron also faced selling, dropping from a session high of $1,128.70 to a low of $1,023.65, breaching Wednesday’s pre-earnings close of $1,048.50 and the 100-hour moving average at $1,048.33. The decline retraces the post-earnings rally despite strong results, leaving technical support under scrutiny.
Both stocks now trade near critical inflection points, with further downside possible if support fails to hold.
