Jamendo, a Luxembourg-based music company, filed a lawsuit against NVIDIA in California federal court, alleging the tech firm used its data and music to train AI systems. The lawsuit claims NVIDIA copied hundreds of thousands of audio files and metadata to develop AI models like Fugatto and Audio Flamingo.
The legal action follows NVIDIA’s recent announcement of the Vera Rubin platform, a supercomputing solution for scientific research. NVIDIA has not yet responded to requests for comment on the lawsuit. The company specializes in graphics processors and AI technologies.
NVIDIA’s stock remains a popular choice for long-term investors, though the lawsuit could pose legal and reputational risks.
