New Era Energy & Digital promotes Nelson to CEO as part of a broader executive reshuffle to accelerate data centre and power projects.
New Era Energy & Digital (NASDAQ:NUAI) has named Charlie Nelson as chairman and chief executive, effective 1 July. Nelson previously served as president and chief operating officer at the Nasdaq-listed data centre developer.
The leadership changes include E. Will Gray II transitioning to president of the Permian, focusing on the company’s Permian Basin operations. Ted Warner joins as president and CFO, while José Rodriguez, formerly of Microsoft and Amazon Web Services, takes over as COO. Darin Rovell is appointed chief accounting officer.
Nelson stated the reshuffle aligns with the company’s priorities, including data centre delivery, power development, and the Texas Critical Data Centers project. The moves aim to expand New Era’s digital infrastructure platform.
