Amaneos acquires Magna’s European lighting operations, adding €200m in revenue and 1,500 employees to expand module offerings.

Amaneos, owned by German private equity firm Mutares, completed its acquisition of Magna’s European automotive lighting business. The deal, first announced in April, includes operations generating roughly €200m in 2025 revenue and employing 1,500 workers across manufacturing and engineering sites in Italy, Poland, and the Czech Republic.

The acquired unit specializes in LED, OLED, and matrix ADB lighting systems, producing rear, front, and accent lighting alongside illuminated grilles and panels. Mutares aims to integrate these technologies with Amaneos’ Light Mobility Solutions subsidiary to shift from standalone components to complex, tech-driven modules.

Amaneos expects the consolidation to enhance functionality and design flexibility for OEMs while reducing interface complications. The move aligns with Mutares’ strategy of pursuing structural growth and expansion in the US and Europe.
