The business development company ended the quarter with net asset value of $16.51 per share, up $0.64 from the first quarter and $0.98 above its January 2025 public offering price. Net assets increased by $29.3 million, or $0.65 per share, during the quarter, Chief Financial Officer Cory Gilbert said. Chief Executive Officer Dwayne Hyzak also announced that Nick Meserve, managing director and head of the Private Credit Investment Group, is expected to become CEO in the fourth quarter.

Hyzak is planned to continue working with the fund as executive chairman. Meserve has led the fund’s private-loan strategy since its inception and joined Main Street’s investment team in 2012, Hyzak said. Income, NAV and Dividends Total investment income was $35.7 million in the second quarter, unchanged from the same period a year earlier and up $1.6 million, or 4.7%, from the first quarter.
