Cryptocurrency exchange MEXC has launched staking support for Bittensor’s TAO token, enabling its 40 million users to earn rewards by securing the decentralized AI network. The integration with validator Yuma allows users to stake TAO, which is allocated across 128 specialized subnets performing tasks like AI inference and model training.

Bittensor’s ecosystem rewards subnets based on performance, with validators like Yuma evaluating contributions and distributing staking rewards. The network has grown to include 128 subnets, covering applications from coding assistants to financial modeling. TAO staking is expected to increase participation in the network.

The move aims to broaden access to Bittensor’s decentralized AI infrastructure, which coordinates AI model development through competitive subnets. MEXC’s integration marks a step toward wider adoption of blockchain-based AI networks.
