Baupost Group sold all holdings in Vaxcyte and Willis Towers Watson by June 30, weeks before 13F filings revealed the moves.
Seth Klarman’s Baupost Group liquidated its entire 800,000-share stake in Vaxcyte (PCVX) and 893,126-share position in Willis Towers Watson (WTW) during Q2 2026. The sales, completed by June 30, were disclosed in a 13F filing on August 13, 2026, after a 45-day lag.
The Vaxcyte exit followed a $284 million Q2 loss and a $602 million equity raise, while the WTW position was established and eliminated within the same quarter. Retail investors who mimicked Klarman’s disclosed Q1 stake in May bought shares at $56.00, unaware Baupost had already exited.
The moves erased $46.5 million from PCVX’s position value and $259.6 million from WTW’s, reflecting a full exit from both holdings after only brief ownership.
