Honeywell Aerospace began trading on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol HONA on Monday, completing its spinoff from Honeywell Technologies, but the stock closed down 0.4% at $220.19 after briefly climbing about 7% earlier in the session.

About 8.5 million shares changed hands during the session

At recent prices, the roughly 158 million shares outstanding put the company’s market value at approximately $72 billion, according to Barron’s. The spinoff was completed through Honeywell Technologies distributing all Honeywell Aerospace common stock to its shareholders. Each Honeywell Technologies shareholder of record as of June 15, 2026, received one share of Honeywell Aerospace stock for every two shares of Honeywell Technologies stock held, the company said.

Jim Currier, chief executive officer of Honeywell Aerospace, argued that operating as a standalone company gives Honeywell Aerospace the ability to act more decisively — for instance, on capital deployment to support rising production rates at its largest customers. “We can support Boeing and Airbus as they’re continuing to ramp,” he told Reuters. “We have very, very clear visibility in terms of their ramp needs going forward.” Honeywell Aerospace, headquartered in Phoenix, employs more than 36,000 people and serves more than 10,000 customers. Its portfolio includes avionics and navigation systems, engines and power systems, and aircraft control systems. For the current year, the company is projecting revenue growth in the range of 7% to 9% and free cash flow between $1 billion and $1.5 billion.
