The crypto market maker expands regulated services in Dubai, following EU approval under MiCA framework earlier this year.
Flowdesk, an institutional crypto market maker backed by Coinbase Ventures and BlackRock, secured a full broker-dealer license in Dubai. The Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority granted the approval to Flowdesk Omega FZE, enabling regulated services for qualified and institutional investors in the emirate.
The license follows Flowdesk’s authorization in France as a Crypto-Asset Service Provider under the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework. Broker-dealers are increasingly critical in bridging traditional finance and digital assets, offering liquidity, custody, and compliance solutions.
Recent moves by peers like Wintermute and BitGo highlight growing demand for regulated crypto trading infrastructure. Flowdesk’s expansion reflects broader industry efforts to establish compliant operations in key global markets.
