DL News shutting down due to unsustainable business
DL News will shut down at the end of May after failing to build a sustainable standalone crypto media business.
The company cited declining crypto media traffic and worsening search and content distribution conditions driven by AI as key factors.
Reduced operational alignment with DefiLlama following an internal conflict in early 2023 also contributed to the decision.
DL News began layoffs in mid-April and informed staff on May 1 that operations would cease by month-end.
