Firm cites strong sales growth but flags margin pressures as reason for tempered outlook on FAST shares.
DA Davidson initiated coverage of Fastenal Company (NASDAQ:FAST) with a Neutral rating and a $46 price target, citing the company’s ability to deliver double-digit sales growth ahead of peers. The firm described FAST as a “cross-cycle earnings compounder” but noted consensus estimates appear slightly elevated due to near-term margin challenges.
Fastenal, which distributes fasteners and tools, saw its price target raised to $46 from $45 by Barclays earlier this month. Barclays reaffirmed an Equal Weight rating and anticipated 14.4% year-over-year daily sales growth for May. Both firms highlighted the company’s growth potential but expressed caution on valuation.
Shares of FAST remain under $50, positioning it as a low-volatility option, though analysts suggest limited near-term upside.
