BMO Capital upgraded American Homes 4 Rent (NYSE:AMH) to Outperform from Market Perform on June 26, 2026, while maintaining its $39 price target. The firm said bipartisan backing for the 21st Century Road to Housing Act eliminates worst-case regulatory scenarios, preserving the status quo for build-for-rent operations.

Prior to BMO’s upgrade, Scotiabank raised its AMH price target to $33 from $32 on June 18, keeping a Sector Perform rating. Mizuho also lifted its target to $35 from $29 on June 17, retaining a Neutral stance. Both firms cited shifting sector dynamics and valuation adjustments.

BMO highlighted AMH’s improving fundamentals as supply moderates and noted an attractive valuation at current levels.
