Binance has launched USDT-settled options contracts for gold and silver, marking its entry into commodity derivatives. The European-style contracts are built on the exchange’s existing options infrastructure, enabling crypto-native traders to access traditional markets with low latency and simplified execution.

The move follows Binance’s push to diversify its derivatives product suite beyond crypto assets. The exchange previously offered options on digital assets like Bitcoin and Ethereum but had not ventured into commodities until now. The new contracts are not available to users in the European Economic Area.

The launch reflects growing demand for hybrid trading instruments that bridge traditional and crypto markets. Binance’s existing options platform processes billions in daily volume, suggesting potential liquidity for the new commodity products.
