Bell Canada’s collaboration aims to expand beyond telecom into AI-driven data center services with a three-year GPU cloud contract.
BCE Inc. (BCE) announced a sovereign AI infrastructure partnership with Cohere, Hypertec, and BUZZ HPC on June 18. The deal includes a $220 million three-year GPU cloud contract executed by BUZZ HPC, tied to Bell’s AI Fabric and data center capabilities.
The collaboration leverages Cohere’s enterprise AI models and Hypertec’s Canadian-built hardware to position BCE beyond traditional telecom services. Analysts rate BCE a Buy, with a 24.98% upside based on average price targets, though execution risks remain in scaling capital-intensive AI infrastructure.
The move reflects telecom operators’ push to monetize existing infrastructure through higher-value AI and data center services, though profitability remains unproven.
