Quantum computing stocks declined sharply Monday, with Rigetti Computing, IonQ, and Infleqtion each dropping 6-7% to $16.70, $42.27, and $13.14, respectively. The pullback erased much of last week’s rally, which was fueled by Quantum Computing Inc.’s 9,000% revenue jump and Infleqtion’s revised SEC filing showing 157% growth, up from 116% previously reported.

Before Monday’s slide, the sector had underperformed the NASDAQ 100’s 16% year-to-date gain, highlighting its high-beta nature. Analysts noted that position sizing, rather than individual stock selection, drove recent moves. The broader Invesco QQQ Trust fell just 0.7% to $708.26 in afternoon trading, underscoring the quantum segment’s outsized volatility.

The reversal occurred without a clear negative catalyst, suggesting profit-taking after a sentiment-driven run. Other names, including D-Wave Quantum, mirrored the decline, closing a week of mixed performance for the niche industry.
