The funding round values the AI startup at $13bn and $11bn across two tranches, reflecting demand for cost-efficient model deployment.

Baseten, a California-based AI infrastructure firm, has secured $1.5bn in Series F funding to scale its platform for training and deploying AI models. The round was led by Altimeter Capital, Conviction, and Spark Capital, with participation from existing and new investors, including Wellington Management and Sands Capital.

The company was valued at $13bn and $11bn across two tranches of the funding. In January 2026, Baseten raised $300m in a Series E round at a $5bn valuation. The latest capital injection underscores growing demand for inference capabilities as open-source and closed-source AI models converge in performance and cost.

Baseten reported that leading firms now allocate 30% to 50% of AI model spending to customized and post-trained models. The platform supports multi-model strategies, enabling organizations to optimize both frontier and tailored AI solutions.
