Analog Devices is in final talks to acquire Empower Semiconductor for approximately $1.5bn in cash. The deal could be announced as early as Tuesday, expanding Analog Devices’ portfolio in power management technology for AI and data centers.

Empower Semiconductor specializes in voltage-regulating chips, including embedded silicon capacitors launched in February 2026. Its products, such as the EC2005P and EC2025P, optimize power delivery for high-performance computing and AI processors. The company’s FinFast technology aims to reduce energy consumption in data centers.

The acquisition would strengthen Analog Devices’ position in the growing AI and data center markets, where efficient power management is increasingly critical.
