Schrodinger (SDGR) reported Q1 2026 revenue of $58.59 million, beating consensus by 23%, as drug discovery revenue doubled to $22.88 million. The company’s AI-powered simulation platform is gaining traction in pharmaceuticals, aligning with enterprise-level demand for AMD and NVIDIA hardware.

Defense contractor LASR posted record revenue of $33M, up 55% year-over-year, while UMAC saw a 296% surge in sales. Over half of the Pentagon’s Drone Dominance program customers now source from UMAC, reflecting broader defense budget expansions.

The Pentagon’s $74 billion allocation for drone and counter-drone technologies in FY2027 underscores the AI arms race beyond traditional chipmakers. Analysts highlight overlooked sectors like simulation software and defense as key beneficiaries of the next AI phase.
