Private equity firm Acon Investments partners with Spain’s Fini to take control of US organic confectionery brand YumEarth in an undisclosed deal.
Private-equity firm Acon Investments has secured a controlling stake in US organic confectionery company YumEarth, with Spain-based Fini Company joining as a strategic partner. The transaction, backed by an unspecified equity investment from Fini, transfers ownership from US investment firm The Riverside Company. Financial terms remain undisclosed.
YumEarth, founded in 2007, specializes in organic candies free from artificial dyes, high-fructose corn syrup, gluten, and top allergens. The brand distributes its gummies, lollipops, and fruit snacks through 30,000 retail outlets, including Target, Whole Foods, and Walmart. Fini, a major gummy and marshmallow producer, will provide industry expertise to support YumEarth’s growth.
Acon and Fini highlighted YumEarth’s alignment with consumer trends toward organic and allergen-free products. The deal reflects ongoing consolidation in the confectionery sector as firms seek scale in niche markets.
