Private-equity-backed Novus Foods appoints Admir Basic as CEO, replacing Tom Davis after growing the firm to a $1bn chilled snacking platform.

Novus Foods, a US chilled snacks maker owned by CapVest Partners, has named Admir Basic as its new CEO. Basic joins from Great Kitchens Food Company, where he served as president and CEO. He succeeds Tom Davis, who led the company’s expansion from a $200m business to a $1bn platform through five acquisitions, including the transformational Noosa deal.

The company was formed last year via the merger of yogurt brand Noosa and fresh dips and desserts maker Lakeview Farms. Novus operates in three categories—dips, desserts, and yogurt—and retains Noosa as a standalone division. Around 240 Noosa employees transitioned into the new entity following its acquisition from Campbell Soup Company.

Basic previously spent nearly a decade at bakery firm Aryzta in senior commercial and financial roles. The board cited his track record in scaling food businesses and deepening customer partnerships as key to leading Novus’ next growth phase.
