The job platform reported $118.1 million in Q2 revenue and raised its second-half guidance after engagement tools drove a 34% sequential rise in applications.

ZipRecruiter’s second-quarter revenue climbed 5% year over year to $118.1 million, beating expectations as product enhancements boosted user activity. Adjusted EBITDA reached $14.6 million, or a 12% margin, while net income totaled $43.4 million, aided by a debt extinguishment gain.

The company repurchased $294.6 million of senior notes for $229.4 million, cutting outstanding debt by more than half. Paid employers grew 7% to over 70,000, though revenue per employer dipped slightly. Qualified applications surged 34% sequentially, and employer response rates doubled year over year.

ZipRecruiter raised its second-half revenue outlook to low-single-digit growth and projected Q3 revenue of $121 million at the midpoint, citing stronger engagement from AI-driven tools and audio-message features.
