Zimmer Biomet raised full-year guidance after reporting $2.177 billion in Q2 sales, driven by hip and technology growth.
Zimmer Biomet posted second-quarter net sales of $2.177 billion, a 4.8% increase from the prior year, led by strong performance in hip products and technology segments. Adjusted earnings per share reached $2.07, while U.S. organic sales grew 4.6%, reflecting improved commercial execution and product launches.
The company raised its 2026 organic sales growth outlook to a range of 2.25% to 3.25% and adjusted EPS guidance to $8.47-$8.59. It also announced plans for up to $1 billion in share repurchases this year, despite margin pressures from rising costs and investments in its U.S. sales organization.
International sales growth lagged, with weakness in China offsetting U.S. gains, while knee sales remained nearly flat. Technology and specialty businesses surged 21.5%, supported by adoption of ROSA, TMINI, and OrthoGrid systems.
