OSL has become the first licensed exchange in Hong Kong to open XRP (CRYPTO:XRP) trading to retail investors. The coin has been listed on the city’s regulated platforms for more than a year, but only professional investors holding portfolios of at least $1 million were allowed to buy it. Meanwhile, the XRP price trades around $1.08, up about 2.6% today, while the broader crypto market is up roughly 1%.
So what does the new access add for XRP? What OSL Opened for XRP Traders Hong Kong’s licensed exchanges have carried XRP since May 2025, when HashKey listed it, and OSL followed with its own listing that December. However, both listings ran under the professional-investor restriction, so for the ordinary buyer in the city, the coin might as well not have been there.
