The medical device maker appoints Lagarde to replace retiring CEO Eric Green in a planned leadership transition next year.

West Pharmaceutical Services named Michel Lagarde as its next President and CEO, effective August 31, 2026. Lagarde will also join the company’s board upon assuming the role, succeeding Eric M. Green, who will retire from his leadership positions on the same date.

Green has led West Pharma since 2015, overseeing growth in drug delivery and packaging solutions. The transition follows a structured succession plan, with Lagarde currently serving in an unspecified executive capacity at the company.

Shares of West Pharma (WST) showed minimal movement in after-hours trading following the announcement.
