Autonomous driving firm WeRide is expanding into Denmark through a partnership with GreenMobility, marking its entry into the Nordic market. The collaboration will deploy Level 4 self-driving shared mobility services, combining WeRide’s autonomous vehicle technology with GreenMobility’s fleet operations expertise.
Denmark becomes WeRide’s sixth European market, following recent expansions into Spain and Slovakia. The companies plan to launch public services in early 2027 using WeRide’s EU-compliant GXR vehicle. Denmark’s digital infrastructure and regulatory environment were cited as key factors for the expansion.
WeRide’s CEO called the partnership a milestone for its European growth strategy, emphasizing a scalable model for autonomous mobility in new markets. The initiative is billed as Denmark’s first commercial push into autonomous shared mobility.
