Berkley’s (NYSE:WRB) fiscal Q2 report appears to be gaining favor among analysts, with several of them raising their price targets on the stock

The report is making analysts raise their price targets, but is the optimism justified? In its financial results for the quarter, the company reported that operating income per diluted share rose to $1.27 compared to $1.05 a year ago. Revenue grew to $3.72 billion from $3.67 billion in the prior year period, but remained below the average analyst estimate of $3.77 billion.

On the plus side, the company’s gross premiums written rose to a record $4.1 billion, which suggests that demand for the company’s insurance products remains healthy. It also reported record quarterly net investment income of $418.7 million, which should boost profitability and support earnings growth, along with a return on equity of 18.6% and operating return on equity of 20.5%. Resultantly, analysts at BofA, Truist, Mizuho, and Wells Fargo, among others, raised their price targets on the stock, which supports earnings strength persisting in 2026.
