Vista Gold continued work on permitting, technical optimization, and execution planning for its Mt Todd gold project. The company targets detailed engineering and design in early 2027, followed by a 27-month construction and commissioning period.

The company ended the quarter with $49.5 million in cash and no debt, supported largely by a $42 million March equity offering. Second-quarter net loss increased to $3 million from $2.4 million a year earlier as exploration, project, and corporate costs rose.

Vista expects additional permit approvals in the second half of 2026 and final approvals in 2027. Metallurgical and geotechnical programs near completion could improve process design, water use, waste stripping, and potential mineral reserves.
