Valmet reports mixed H1 results with higher earnings but a 14% drop in orders received year-over-year.
Valmet Oyj posted H1 net sales of €2,560M, up 6% year-over-year, driven by stronger demand in its core segments. Earnings per share rose 22% to €0.59, while adjusted EPS climbed 15% to €0.73.
Orders received fell 14% to €2,466M, and the order backlog declined 10% to €4,259M. Comparable EBITA remained flat at €266M, with the margin contracting 0.5 pp to 10.4%. EBITA, however, increased 19% to €232M.
