Major US stock indices closed lower as rising global bond yields, geopolitical risks in the Middle East, and inflation concerns pressured markets. The NASDAQ fell 0.84%, while the Russell 2000 dropped 1.01%, underperforming broader benchmarks.

The S&P 500 declined 0.67%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 0.65% lower. Both indices held above their 100-hour moving averages, with the NASDAQ finding support near 25,800.58. A break below these levels could signal further downside.

Shake Shack surged 7.38%, rebounding from 2023 lows, while Chewy and Roblox lagged among individual stocks. Verizon led Dow gainers, while Cisco was the weakest performer.
