US stock futures dipped early Monday as investors weighed a busy earnings week against escalating geopolitical risks. Dow Jones Industrial Average futures fell about 100 points, or 0.2%, while S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 contracts traded near flat. Oil prices surged, with West Texas Intermediate crude rising 1.8% to above $107 a barrel amid ongoing US-Iran tensions.

Equities remain near record highs after the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite hit fresh peaks last week, while the Dow briefly crossed 50,000. The Nasdaq 100 posted its sharpest one-day decline since late March, dropping 1.5%. Markets are now focused on earnings from Nvidia, Target, and Walmart, alongside inflation concerns following last week’s hotter-than-expected data.

Geopolitical uncertainty added pressure, with President Donald Trump warning of limited time for a US-Iran agreement. Energy markets reacted swiftly, pushing Brent crude above $110 a barrel.
