Regulatory clearance allows URG to ramp up in-situ recovery operations and begin resin shipments to its Lost Creek plant.

Ur-Energy Inc. (NYSE:URG) received regulatory approval from the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality for its Shirley Basin uranium project, enabling full-scale in-situ recovery (ISR) operations. The approval follows a preoperational assessment confirming safety systems, staffing, and environmental monitoring compliance.

The company has loaded over 10,500 lbs of uranium onto resin since recovery began in April 2020. Shipments to the Lost Creek processing facility will start shortly as wellfield flow rates increase to commercial production levels. Ur-Energy has shipped over 3.5 million lbs of U₃O₈ from its Lost Creek site since operations commenced.
