On June 12, subsidiaries of UnitedHealth Group Incorporated (NYSE:UNH), including OptumRx and Emisar Pharma Services, reached an agreement with the Federal Trade Commission to settle allegations that the companies engaged in anticompetitive and unfair rebating practices related to insulin drug pricing

Under the agreement, the matter will be withdrawn from adjudication with respect to the Optum entities while the Commission evaluates a proposed consent agreement intended to fully resolve the claims against them. The Federal Trade Commission ordered that all proceedings involving the Optum respondents be stayed pending the Commission’s review and determination regarding the proposed settlement, representing a significant step toward resolving the regulatory matter. On June 8, JPMorgan raised its price target on UnitedHealth Group to $466 from $420 while maintaining an Overweight rating on the shares.
