United Airlines reported second-quarter revenue of $17.7 billion, up 16% year-over-year, with earnings per share at $1.99, near the top of its guidance range. The carrier cited robust demand across domestic, international, premium, loyalty, and cargo segments as key drivers of growth.

Despite the strong performance, United tightened its full-year EPS guidance to $9-$11, down from previous expectations, due to higher fuel costs. Executives noted the recent fuel price spike could weigh on earnings but expect recovery by the fourth quarter if prices stabilize.

Operational improvements included record-low seat cancellations and better on-time performance at Newark. The company also highlighted fleet renewal and premium cabin expansion as long-term growth priorities.
