UK-based dog-food company Years has secured private equity backing from Verlinvest and venture capital firm Five Seasons Ventures to expand its operations. The investment size and terms remain undisclosed, with both firms declining further comment.

Founded in 2023, Years sells fresh and minimally processed dog food primarily through direct-to-consumer channels but has also secured retail listings, including with Pets at Home. The company plans to increase its production capacity from 26,000 to 69,000 square feet, aiming to quadruple output.

CEO Darren Beale stated the firm is targeting expansion into continental Europe, with Benelux and Germany as initial markets. Years aims to replicate its UK success by leveraging consumer demand for high-quality pet food in those regions.
