Uber Technologies will acquire Delivery Hero in a $14.8bn cash deal, offering €41.50 per share. The transaction aims to form the largest food-delivery group outside China, spanning 99 markets.
Delivery Hero reported $236bn in gross merchandise value for 2025 on a pro-forma basis. The deal follows Uber’s agreement to sell Delivery Hero assets in 14 markets to SSW Partners for $1.6bn, avoiding overlap with Uber Eats.
Uber will gain control of Baedal Minjok, Hungerstation, foodpanda, talabat, Glovo, and PedidosYa across 50 markets. The takeover remains subject to customary closing conditions.
