DJT’s unrealized bitcoin losses reach $455 million after transferring 2,650 BTC worth $205 million amid declining prices.
Trump Media & Technology Group transferred 2,650 bitcoin, valued at approximately $205 million, to Crypto.com as its cryptocurrency holdings face mounting losses. The company’s total unrealized losses on bitcoin now stand at $455 million, reflecting a sharp decline from its average purchase price of $118,522 per token.
The firm originally acquired 11,542 BTC for $1.37 billion. Bitcoin’s current trading price of around $77,341 per token has eroded the value of its holdings. This follows a prior transfer of 2,000 BTC four months ago, valued at $175 million at the time.
The move coincides with broader financial struggles, including a first-quarter net loss of $405.9 million on $871,200 in revenue. Trump Media also withdrew its spot bitcoin ETF application earlier this year, adding to concerns over its crypto strategy.
