DJT terminates agreements with Crypto.com to accumulate CRO tokens and service ETFs, citing market conditions and strategic shifts.
Trump Media & Technology Group has abandoned plans to create a publicly traded entity focused on accumulating Crypto.com’s CRO token. The decision follows a broader pullback from crypto initiatives as the company refocuses on media and a pending merger with a fusion energy firm.
The move ends two partnerships: one for a CRO token accumulation vehicle and another for Crypto.com to service planned Yorkville America ETFs. Trump Media previously invested $105 million in CRO during its 2025 crypto expansion, but market conditions and shifting priorities led to the termination.
CRO token prices fell as much as 5% after the announcement, reflecting investor reaction to the scrapped deals.
