US President Donald Trump will meet with senators on Thursday to discuss the CLARITY Act, a crypto market structure bill, as negotiators push to pass it before the August recess. Senators Bernie Moreno and Cynthia Lummis will brief Trump on the bill’s progress and its path to approval, according to a Senate Republican aide.

The meeting follows weeks of negotiations to resolve unresolved provisions in the legislation. Senator Thom Tillis said lawmakers hope to reach an agreement by the end of the week, calling it critical for a floor vote before the recess. A revised draft of the bill is expected soon, with Lummis indicating progress in a recent interview.

Failure to pass the bill before the recess could delay it until after the midterm elections, reducing its chances of becoming law this year. Lawmakers view this as the last realistic opportunity to advance the legislation.
