Former President Donald Trump reported $1 billion in crypto earnings amid a sector downturn, per financial disclosures.
Former President Donald Trump disclosed earning more than $1 billion from cryptocurrency ventures in 2025, according to his financial filing released by the Office of Government Ethics. The earnings include $635 million in royalties from a memecoin business and over $500 million from token sales tied to World Liberty Financial, a crypto firm linked to his family.
The disclosure comes as the broader crypto market faces challenges, with Bitcoin down roughly 50% from its peak last fall. Trump’s holdings also include up to $250,000 in USD, $15,000 in USDC, and over $50 million each in Ethereum and Bitcoin.
Trump’s pro-crypto policies during his administration contrasted with the sector’s struggles, raising questions about potential conflicts of interest as his ventures seek regulatory approvals.
