EU approves $2.2bn joint venture between TotalEnergies and Masdar

The European Commission has granted approval for a $2.2bn (€1.89bn) joint venture between TotalEnergies and Masdar.

The new entity, referred to as JV HoldCo, will focus on developing large-scale solar and onshore wind facilities in nine countries across the Asia-Pacific region.

The JV will have a 3GW portfolio at launch and will be headquartered at Abu Dhabi Global Market with approximately 200 employees from both companies.
