The medical robotics firm will receive up to $65m to scale its FDA-cleared TMINI system for total knee arthroplasty procedures.
THINK Surgical has finalized a $65m debt facility with Symbiotic Capital to fund commercial growth of its TMINI robotic system for knee surgeries. The agreement includes an initial $25m, with an additional $15m tied to milestones and up to $25m in discretionary capital.
The TMINI system, cleared by the FDA in July 2024, uses 3D modeling from CT scans to assist surgeons in implant alignment and adjustments. The company previously partnered with Zimmer Biomet in June 2024 to integrate its technology, while maintaining compatibility with other implant manufacturers covering 70% of the market.
Funds will support scaling production and distribution of the handheld robotics platform, which aims to improve precision in total knee arthroplasty procedures.
