Tesla activated its robotaxi service in Orlando and Tampa, Florida, on Tuesday, extending coverage beyond its initial Miami launch earlier this month. The company shared maps on X outlining operational zones in both cities, signaling rapid scaling of its autonomous ride-hailing platform.

The expansion occurs one day before Tesla’s second-quarter earnings report, following a 12% decline in Q1 revenue and a 55% drop in net income year-over-year. Analysts expect further pressure on margins amid price cuts and slowing EV demand.

No immediate market reaction was disclosed, though shares have underperformed the S&P 500 by 28% over the past three months.
