TeraWulf announced the acquisition of a 285-acre site in eastern Kentucky to develop a 1 GW AI data center campus, with the first 500 MW slated for 2028. The move targets growing demand for high-performance computing power amid electricity constraints in AI infrastructure.

The site, already zoned for data center use, will support TeraWulf’s strategy to leverage power-advantaged locations. The company plans to bring an additional 500 MW online by 2030, positioning the campus as one of Kentucky’s largest AI-focused facilities.

WULF shares climbed as much as 9% to $24.78, reaching a 12-month high of $25.92 earlier in the session.
